Bhutan officially the Kingdom of Bhutan is a landlocked country in South Asia. Located in the Eastern Himalayas, it is bordered by Tibet Autonomous Region in the north, India in the south, the Sikkim state of India and the Chumbi Valley of Tibet in the west, and Arunachal Pradesh state of India in the east. Bhutan is geopolitically in South Asia and is the region’s second least populous nation after the Maldives. Thimphu is its capital and largest city, while Phuntsholing is its financial center.

Option – 01: 08 Nights & 09 Days

Phuntsholing (2N) – Thimpu (3N) – Paro (3N)

Day – 01: Pickup from Bagdogra / New Alipurduar (NOQ) to Phuentsholing. Night-stay at Phuentsholing.

Day – 02: After processing permit drive to Thimphu. Night-stay at Thimphu.

Day – 03: After breakfast Sightseeing in Thimphu valley. Night-stay at  Thimphu.

Places of  visit – The National Library, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum, King’s Memorial Chorten, Trashichhoe Dzong, Lord Buddha Statue.

Day – 04: After breakfast sightseeing. Night-stay at Thimphu.

Places of  visit – Dochu-la pass, Punakha Dzong.

Day – 05: After breakfast drive up the Paro valley to view Paro town. Night-stay at Paro.

Places of  visit – Kyichu Lhakhang, Ta Dzong, Rinpong Dzong.

Day – 06: Excursion to Taktsang Monastery. Night-stay at Paro.

Day – 07: Paro (Excursion to Chelela Pass & Haa valley). Overnight at the hotel in Haa Valley.

Day – 08: Early morning drive for Phuentsholing from Haa Valley.

Day – 09: After breakfast Phuentsholing to Bagdogra drop.

Taktshan Monastery Trek: 06 Nights & 07 Days

Jaigaon (1N) – Thimpu (2N) – Paro (3N)
Day – 01: New Coochbehar to Jaigaon
(Distance: 80 Kms. / Driving Time : 3 hrs Approx.)
Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway station / IBX Airport and transfer to Jaigaon , The Gateway of Bhutan by road from India. It is a thriving commercial centre on the  northern edge of the India Plains. On arrival check in at the Hotel. (Night Stay at Jaigaon)

Day – 02: Jaigaon to Thimphu
(Distance: 176 Kms . / Driving Time : 6 hrs Approx , Altitude of Thimphu : 2350 mts .)
After Breakfast complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu ( 7,710 ft . ) The Capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in the Hotel. (Night Stay at Thimph)

Day – 03: Thimphu Sightseeing
After Breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang ( Buddha statue ) a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument ) & folk Heritage Museum. Takin Preserve Centre , The National animal of Bhutan can be seen here. (Night Stay at Thimphu)

Day – 04: Thimphu to Punakha / Wangdue Sightseeing Back to the Paro
(Distance: 85 Kms . / Driving Time 3 hrs . / Altitude of Punakha : 1310 mts . )
After Breakfast going towards Punakha Dzong via Do-Chu-la pass ( 3150 mts .) to view the higher Himalayas. (Over Night stay at Paro)

Day – 05: Paro Sightseeing Che-Le-La pass
(Distance: 70 Kms / Driving Time – 3 hrs . / Altitude of Che-Le-La pass 14,000 ft)
After Breakfast going towards Paro Inter National Airport view point & Che-le-la pass. (Night stay at Paro)

Day – 06: Paro Taktsang Monastery Trek
After Breakfast hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery – called Tiger’s Nest “(2 hrs hike from the base camp). (Night stay at Paro)

Day – 07: Paro to New CoochBehar Drop
(Distance: 240 Kms. / Driving Time: 7 hrs. )
After Breakfast Checkout from Hotel and Drop to New CoochBehar station .

HIKE TO TAKTSANG MONASTERY:
It is not recommend to hike to Tiger’s Nest ( Taktsang Monastery ) When you are travelling with small kids. Roads are not like normal hiking. you have to pass through stiff stairs while going up and coming down.
